a day, you may eventually get to be a boss and work twelve hours a day......
THANK YOU, ROBERT!!!.......8 and 12 hours.....is this a LAUGH or what?!!! how 'bout 15
Soooooooooooooo, I am FINALLY back to this venue.....having been very, very busy with income tax, state tax, messy RECORDS, animals, life, missing KatZ, etc etc. So good to be back in the saddle....okay, okay.....sort of.....the ART continues, full FORCE ahead.
The steampunk tracheal wrap necklaces have taken on a life of their own at the Berkeley Alphonse Berber Gallery. Apparently the necklaces have done quite well there, and I am happy that they are in such a wonderful gallery. Anyone in Berkeley, do stop in to visit this wonderful, huge, gallery space. The ART is the BEST!!!!! NEW & OUT THERE where it should be!
I just finished a cabinet of curiosities that I had been working on for quite some time.....Certainly did a big turn-around from where I started at with this....I just couldn't get by the found housing, so the housing went away, and I start FRESH just keeping the ideas of doors, see through, glances, etc. The light coming through the back almost makes it look like it is lit up.
Sooooooooooo, there ya have it!!! .....working on another one, and would like to do a series of these.....promise not to have a pig in a jar.
Had an incredible time (as ALWAYS) under the auspices of the French Door Librairie STILL being somewhat alive.......thought we (with partner of Ketzel Photography) would saunter on down to the Seattle Public Library book sale, just to take a peek at the Rare Book Room and of course picked up FIVE!!!!! boxes of 1930s Art Deco Fortune magazine.....with the COVERS!!!! Incredible art, incredible photographs, Margaret Bourke White, etc One magazine cover with communist manifesto art by Diego Rivera...... Will be selling some, keeping some.....What a find! Leave it to the ol' French Door Librairie antiquarian restorer EXTRAORDINAIRE.....Okay! back to ART and hopefully blog won't be so LONG in coming next time......
